Pharmacy activities in the Ottoman State XIX. th centuries and after

Human health is in the first flush of everything. Therefore, the humanity has sought for ways to be healthy since its existence. For this purpose, people have produced various types of treatment methods and medicines that have supported to this process. Pharmacy and iamatology, which advanced in progress of time, have become important for all civilizations in history. Studying in this direction has been prepared by giving attention to planting of the first seeds of the science of pharmacy, the adventure of change and development of pharmacy in various societies, its activities in Ottoman State, and especially the developments in the field of pharmacy in XIX.- XX. centuries. Actually, medicine and pharmacy are two different sciences that complete one after another. Throughout the history, it seems that mostly, both of these works have been combined in the same part. In this search, the journey to the independent state of the pharmacy profession in the Ottoman Empire, the corporations founded by pharmacists, broadcasts that they published, the new-wave pharmacy education and the first pharmacists to be grown are mentioned. Moreover, the fields of pharmacy such as, the social organizations and medicine producing in the time of epidemic illnesses, medicine and pharma stores, the system of pharmacists' shift, and also medicine supports for army in the time of war and health services are examined.
