Abstract (EN)

This study was conducted to analyze potential strategies and related motivation factors, which will be required for recruitmenT and retention of the Generation Y, which is the fastest growing segment of today's workforce with higher expectations compared to other generations. Because, as the Generation Y form the majority of today's businesses and will have a significant role in shaping the future business world, managers and human resource specialists need effective strategic planning implementation for their business. A survey prepared in the light of studies in the literature was applied to 100 human resource specialists and managers from 46 of 80 large-scale enterprises registered to Gaziantep Chamber of Industry and Commerce. Surveys were analyzed in line with the aim of the study using percentage, frequency analysis, correlation analysis, and regression analysis. P: 95% was taken as the significance level in all operations. The study has indicated that the factors motivating the Generation Y affect the strategies to be provided for recruitment and retention of Generation Y.
