The error analysis of written expressions in Turkish as a foreign language

The aim of this research is to determine what kind of mistakes are made in written expressions of students at level C1 who are learning Turkish at Dokuz Eylül University Language Research Center. In this research, which has a qualitative pattern of research method, content analysis technique is used. 60 students at the level of C1, who are studying at Dokuz Eylül Language Education Application and Research Center in İzmir in 2016 - 2017 education year, participated in the research. The data obtained from the written compositions from the students were evaluated according to the incorrect analysis approach in the descriptive scanning model. Written expressions were analyzed using categorical analysis according to Keshavarz's (2011) incorrect analysis classification. As a result of the research, it was determined that the total mistake made by the students, learning Turkish as Foreign Language, was 1307. When the students' mistakes are examined, it is determined that the most common mistakes are morphological errors, 744. Following this wrong group, the second field has been found to be mistaken with 268 mistakes in writing and punctuation. The third group of false is linguistic and semantic fallacy. Finally, 61 in the syntactic category was incorrectly determined. Keywords :Error correction, linguitic taxonomy ,writing disposition, writing process, free writing.
