The folkloric elements in the works of Yahya Akengin

This study has been prepared in order to identify the elements of folk science in the published works and radio plays of Yahya Akengin, one of the authors of Hisar journal, and to show examples of them. Yahya Akengin is a writer who is almost integrated with Turkish culture. This situation shows that the artist made great use of folk science when creating his works. It is possible to find traces of folk culture, folk life, traditions and customs in all kinds of works of the author. The first part of the study, which consists of a total of four parts, is "Introduction". In this section, the subject, purpose and importance, scope, material and method of the research are given. In the second part, the Life, Art and Works of Yahya Akengin are discussed; in the third part, the elements of folk science in the author's works are given in the form of titles using the classifications made in this field. In the fourth chapter, the elements of folk literature contained in the works are discussed under the headings of "Anonymous Folk Literature", "Ashik Literature", "Tekke-Sufi Literature". The conclusion part is a general evaluation of all the sections.
