Abstract (EN)
In the globalising world, where boundaries disappears, rivalry becomes vital; regularity and productivity in manufacture became indispensable. Day by day, the changing and increasing demands of the consumers make the manufacturers create different designs. While supplying with these demands, all the manufacturing processes need to work cohesively. Lean production, an effective understanding of manufacture enables the manufacturers to produce in shorter time and with low prices. Disposing wasting factors enable saving time and space, also it contributes a lot to the productivity, profit and regularity in manufacture. This thesis study is a literature research for the terms "Lean Production" and "Fast Fashion". In application part of the study, in a garment manufacturer, in Bartın, the transition process to Lean production is told with case analysis method. The applications are observed one by one on interviews with the manager, engineers and the workers of consulting firm. The lean works are done with integrity and analysed in three separate units (shipment, sewing, cutting). As a results of the works, a considerable increase in productivity is observed. The works are visualized with pictures.
