Abstract (EN)

Computational fluid dynamics (CFD), one of the sub-branches of physics, is a field that aims to analyze the motion and interaction of fluids with studies carried out since the 1960s. Especially in recent years, the effects in the field of architecture are seen in the buildings designed with the approximation of performative architecture or in studies aimed at evaluating the wind performance of buildings. In the first part of the thesis, the aim of the study, the definition of computational fluid dynamics, and the advantages/disadvantages of CFD are explained. Subsequently, literature studies support the purpose and method of applications in interior and exterior architecture environments. The second part of the study includes a field and simulation study conducted in Yomra, Trabzon, to draw attention to wind performance assessment problems in developing high-rise buildings in Türkiye. The third part of the thesis analyzes the simulation results of two different alternative models investigating the effect of building height and design and the current situation of the buildings in the area. The study is finalized with the conclusion and suggestions.
