Abstract (EN)
Non-destructive testing methods are a set of techniques widely used in engineering for the examination of structures and material systems. These methods are used to detect various material properties and non-visible defects in structures or structural elements without causing structural or functional damage. Non-destructive testing methods play an important role in making structural condition assessment reliable while reducing time and cost. Instead of direct measurements, these methods usually indirectly predict the desired properties based on the basic principles of the method used. The most widely used non-destructive testing methods in Turkey to determine the compressive strength of concrete are the concrete test hammer and ultrasonic testing methods. Sometimes measurements are made on a concrete member using both the concrete test hammer method and the ultrasonic method and the results are evaluated together. A so-called combined method allows the prediction of a specific property by combining at least two different non-destructive testing methods. One of the combined methods for the determination of concrete strength is the combination of ultrasound wave velocity and Schmidt rebound values. This method makes it possible to estimate the concrete strength. Within the scope of this thesis, the values of concrete test hammer and ultrasound velocity tests performed by Ilkon Engineering Company in different structures in Istanbul Province were taken and these data were used in all SonReb formulas presented in the literature. As a result, new models for SonReb formulation have been developed. In this study, the results obtained by Ilkon Engineering Company by performing concrete test hammer test and ultrasonic pulse velocity test on different structural elements in different structures are discussed comprehensively. As a result, new models for the SonReb formulation have been developed.
