Abstract (EN)
The main purpose of this thesis is to identify and manage geotechnical risks in construction projects and to determine how and to what extent these risks affect the work schedule. A conceptual framework that can be used for this purpose has been developed within the scope of the thesis. The method used in establishing the conceptual framework for determining these geotechnical risks and their effects on the work program and determining the geotechnical risks and their effects on the work program in the literature research, analysis, and interpretation. With this aspect, this thesis is a descriptive study. Within the scope of the literature research, geotechnical applications, and work program applications in the construction sector were examined. Besides, predicted or unforeseen risks in the geotechnical application are also included in the study. In the literature review, it has been seen that in almost all areas of construction works, geotechnical risks are determined in detail. However, there is not enough research to examine the effects of managing geotechnical risks on the work program. This deficiency is the area where this thesis can contribute to the work program literature in construction works. One of the main findings has been that when determining geotechnical risks for construction works, all soil parameters should be considered and planning should be made accordingly. These parameters also constitute the conceptual framework of the geotechnical risks affecting the work program. These parameters are the values that are in the content of the geotechnical report prepared as a result of the ground survey and are decisive in the project design and application processes. In other words, although the management of geotechnical risks affects the work program directly and / or indirectly, this risk management activity must be performed correctly by those responsible for the healthy progress of the project.
