Özet (EN)

The effect of feeling guilty on psychopathological disorder has been exhibited early psychological literature. And also the positive effect of feeling guilty has been prooved. Nevertheless, the relationship between positive behavior and post traumatic growth has been known by the early reasearch. In this study 124 volunteer participants were investigated by using Feeling Guilty and Shame Scale which was developed by Şahin by the helps of Dimension of Conscience Questionnaire which was developed by Johnson and Noel in 1987; Helping Orientation Scale which was developed by Romer, Charles and Lizzadro and standardized by Duru in 2002; Posttraumatic Growth Scale which was developed from Tedeschi and Calhoun's scale, by Karancı and demographic form. 62 of the participants were had traumatic event perception and the other 62 participants were hadn't traumatic event perception. The scales were applied with mixed order. The results were analized with SPSS (Statictical Package for Social Science) 17. As a result, Feeling Guilty Scale score significantly predicted Help Orientation score and when participants who have perception of traumatic event experience, halp the others; the score of post traumatic growth increased.
