Abstract (EN)

In this study, the effects of vegetation type and aspect on soil properties and nitrogen mineralization were investigated in Bicakcılar area in Yusufeli, Artvin. For this puspose, two slope and three vegetation types (juniper, gorse and grassland) were selected. It was studied at 30 samples areas and 54 soil samples. To determine of soil properties and soil nitrogen mineralization, it was measured once in the area. Nitrogen mineralization was determined laboratory incubation method. Soil properties such as texture, pH, organic matter, Total nitrogen, bulk density calcium carbonate (lime), skeleton content, C/N ratio were analayzed. For nitrogen mineralization, ammonia and nitrate were analayzed. In the 0-15 cm soil deep, 63 day nitrogen mineralization, was found 69 kg/ ha in juniper, 94 kg/ha in gorse and in 90 kg/ha grassland areas. At the end of the investigation, Microorganism activities were found grasslands higher than the other areas. Aspect and vegetation type were affected on soil properties and nitrogen mineralization.
