Synthesis of new 2,4,6-trisbutytide pyrimidin compounds, N-alkyl and pyrimidin N-glycosyte derivatives and investigation of biological properties

Abstract (EN)

In this thesis, the syntheses of alternative 2,4,6-trisubstituted derivatives (1-9) of pyrimidine, one of the basic building blocks of a biological system and electron-rich nitrogen atom-containing heterocyclic compounds, their 5, 10 and 15 carbon atoms containing N-alkyl bromides (2a-c, 3a-c, 5a-c, 6a-c, 8a-c, 9a-c,), N-glycoside linked 2,3,4,6-tetra-O-acetyl-β-D-glucopyranoside (19-27) and N-β-D-glucopyranoside derivatives (10-18) were performed. Then, biological activity tests of the all synthesized compounds were studied based on DPPH radical scavenging activity, ferric reducing antioxidant power (FRAP), liquid dilution antimicrobial activity, and anticancer activity against HeLa / C6 cell lines determinations. Totally, 45 compounds were synthesized in this thesis. Although three of pyrimidines (4, 7, 9) were found to be known in literature, there were no studies about other 42 compounds. As a result of the biological activity studies of all compounds, it was determined that compounds had low antioxidant activities, but quite good antimicrobial and anticancer activities. Among the synthesized compounds, 8b has the highest antimicrobial, 3a and 5a have the highest antioxidant, and almost all of the c series compounds have the highest anticancer (antiproliferative) properties. In general, the best activity among the compound classes is own to N-alkyl bromide derivatives as called 2a-c, 3a-c, 5a-c, 6a-c, 8a-c, 9a-c.
