Abstract (EN)

In this study, a novel Adsorptive Strippiinfg Voltammetric (AdSV) determination method was developed for the determination of trace amounts of Ge(IV). In the method developed, tannic acid was used as a new alternative complexing agent for the stripping voltammetric determination of of Ge(IV). A three electrode system was used to monitor the voltammetric signals. This electrode system consists of a Hanging Mercury Drop Electrode (HMDE) as the working electrode a Ag/AgCl (saturated KCl) electrode as the reference electrode and a platinum (Pt) wire as the auxiliary electrode. A characteristic cathodik pic was identified and characterized with Square Wave Voltammetry (SWV) and Cyclic voltammetry techniques at -680 mV that could be exploited for the method development. With further studies stripping conditions and parameters were evaluated by using Square Wave Stripping Voltammetry (SWSV) technique. The optimum stripping conditions was determined to be acetic acid-acetate buffer (pH=4,7) (as the supporting electrolyte), 3,0x10-6 M tannic acid (as the complexing agent) and 3,0x10-4 M KClO3 (as the catalyst). Calibration curves were obtained under optimum conditions. Possible interferences from some other ions were also evaluated.
