Abstract (EN)

SUMMARY The Synthesis of New Macrobicyclic Compounds and Investigation of Their Ion Extraction Capability From Aqueous Media Macrobicyclic polyethers, which are commonly called cryptand, have been utilized as extracting reagents recently since these compounds are capable of inclusing cations of to make extremly strong complexes. In this study new macrobicyclic ligands have been synthesed as extracting reagents and the influence of the cation size, pH and solvent properties on the extractions of heavy metal ions from aqueous media with these ligands. The results optained in this study are presented in Tables and Graphics. The ion extraction capability of the macrobicyclic compounds towards cadmium, lead, mercury, nickel, zinc, copper picrate from aqueous media to dichlormethane and chloroform has been measured by using UV-Vis spectrophotometer and AAS. The structures of ligands are demonstrated according to elemental analysis, 1H- NMR and 13C-NMR, IR and mass spectral data. Key Words: vz'c-Dioksim, Macrocyclic Complexes, Cryptand, Extraction, Distrubtion Ratio, UV-Vis Spectrophotometer, AAS. DC
