Evaluation of entrepreneurship skills in revamped social studies curriculum in secondary schools (2018) according to teacher views

The aim of this research is to evaluate entrepreneurship skills in revamped social studies teaching programs in secondary schools (2018) based on teachers' views. This study is qualitative research. As a data collection tool, an interview form including 10 open-ended questions developed by the researcher was used. The purpose method type was applied from the interview methods. The research group consists of 30 Social Studies teachers working in secondary schools under Adana Directorate of National Education in the 2019/2020 academic year. The criteria sampling method, which is one of the sampling methods, was used in the selection of the teachers whose opinions were applied. While applying interview forms to the workgroup, an appropriate time has been set on a voluntary basis so that both education and training would not be disrupted, and they would not have time problems. Descriptive analysis techniques -one of the qualitative research method were used in the research. Appropriate coding was made according to the answers given to the questions. Similar and different encodings were categorized among themselves; themes were determined, frequency and percentage values were formed. At the end of the research, according to the teachers who took part in the workgroup, entrepreneurial skills and acquisition of the activities are insufficient, content is superficial, applicability of learning-teaching process and measurement and evaluation dimensions are partly negative, but they view it positively in terms of activities suitable for the use of different teaching methods and techniques.
