On the measurement of service quality in local governmentsa research in Aksaray Municipality

With the increase of harshness of competition service quality become more important. Service quality is one of the important subjects for municipalities because of one of the visible seen of public administration. With the changes of local government's understanding, especially in last years service quality, life quality and people's satisfaction have become more important in municipality administration. Factors that effected staff of Aksaray municipalitiy's service quality are examined in this study in order to get people's satisfaction who get benefits services from municipal's staff. Service quality is a perception subject. It can be chance in every person. There are a lot of variables can affect that such as; expectations of staff, educational status, social status, income rates, etc. The main aim of this study is examination factors that effected staff of Aksaray Municipals' service quality. This study is unique because this is the first study about the service quality of Aksaray Municipality's staff. Survey method is used in this study 297 staff of Aksaray Municipality filled thar survey forms. Accoding to results; age, sex, marital status, statue, education status, job satisfaction and succes level perception varibles are effected in service quality of Aksaray Municipality's staff.
