Investigation of organic food preferences of consumers in green marketing

Abstract (EN)

Organic agriculture is a form of production that is safe due to production under certain rules and supervision and has no negative effect on health and environment where chemical drugs and fertilizers are not used as opposed to traditional agriculture. The organic foods produced as a result of this kind of agricultural activities have many advantages and disadvantages in terms of both producers and consumers. In terms of these properties, differences in their preferability by consumers occur. In this study, a survey was conducted to examine the consumers' intention to buy organic food. In the survey study, factors affecting purchasing intentions were examined. The effects of these factors on the intention to purchase were analyzed. It has been determined that the effects of health awareness, benefit-belief, food security, environmental awareness factors on the intention of buying organic food. It was determined that all of the demographic characteristics had no effect on the intention to buy organic food.
