Abstract (EN)

Trent Analysis and Evaluation of Some Water Quality Parameters in Yeşilırmak River Water is of vital Water is of vital importance for all living things to survive. Changes in the ecosystem along with the increasing population have made it necessary to protect and monitor water resources. Determining the changes in water quantity and quality in any region as a result of natural or artificial effects is important for sustainability. In this study, some water quality parameters of the Yeşilırmak River in terms of agricultural irrigation were investigated and a trend analysis was made. For this purpose, the parameters analyzed by the State Hydraulic Works (DSİ) at the Water quality observation station numbered 47- 00-27 located in Çarşamba district of Samsun province of Yeşilırmak river were used. Within the scope of the study, current, pH, electrical conductivity, sodium, calcium, magnesium, potassium, chlorine, carbonate, bicarbonate, sulfate, boron, sodium absorption rate and percent sodium parameters determined between 1995 and 2015 were used. In the study, the Mann-Kendall method, which is widely used in parametric and non-parametric analyses, was used for trend analysis of the parameters. Trend analysis results were evaluated in five levels of significance. According to the analysis results, a significant positive trend occurred in water flow rate in January and pH and carbonate content in February. A significant negative trend occurred in the electrical conductivity value and calcium + magnesium content of water in January. No significant trend was detected in other results. It was noteworthy that there were no significant trends in the months of the irrigation season.
