Abstract (EN)

This study aims to investigate the effects of individuals' attachment styles on their leadership preferences. The research analyzes the relationship between attachment styles and leadership styles, as well as the impact of gender, socioeconomic status, and education level on these relationships. Additionally, the study examines participants' emotional reactivity, resilience, and sensitivity. The findings indicate that both avoidant and anxious attachment styles significantly shape leadership preferences. Individuals with an avoidant attachment style prefer more authoritarian and controlling leadership styles, while those with an anxious attachment style similarly tend toward authoritarian leadership. Anxious attachment has a negative effect on preference for charismatic leadership. As the education level increases, individuals' preference for charismatic leadership strengthens. Furthermore, it was found that women are more inclined towards democratic and charismatic leadership styles, while men tend to prefer authoritarian leadership styles. As socioeconomic and education levels increase, the likelihood of insecure attachment decreases. These findings highlight the importance of considering attachment styles in leadership training. Moreover, the study identifies the significant role of attachment styles in the development of leadership styles and the management of individual differences, concluding that further research on this topic is necessary.
