Abstract (EN)

While the prosperity is increasing in the world, on the other hand, poverty is gradually getting deeper. Poverty is not the only problem of undeveloped countries. From now on, this problem concerns the whole world states. The increment of poverty, its gradual accelaration and the states' becoming unable to cope with this problem direct to another solutions. In conjunction with the government's power weakening day after day, the importance of non-governmental organizations has increased. In Turkey, such as in the other countries, the existence of the fact of poverty is seen clearly. The problem is growing up by being fed with some reasons such as rapid increment of population, unrighteous tax system, evasion of taxes, high interest policies, nature circumstances, natural disaster experiences, the overbalance of unworkable population, the increment of monopolies in the market, the problem of unemployment, inflation, stagnation, the unrighteousness of income distribution. Contemporarily, a great role goes to non-governmental organizations to cope with this problem. In this study, the works of Kızılay Association, Kimse Yok Mu Association and Oxfam Aid Agency have been surveyed, conduction of poll has been achieved and the obtained data have been evaluated.
