Abstract (EN)

In this study, the rockfall potential on the Yomra-Özdil Highway, where rockfalls occur frequently, was analyzed with three-dimensional models, within the scope of Yomra-Özdil-Yağmurdere (DOKAP) provincial road work, the impact of explosive excavations on the rock masses located between km: 09+700 - 10+200 on the HEPP was evaluated. The effects of rock crusher cartridges were compared with normal blasts. Blasting is inevitable in various areas such as highway excavations, quarrying, mining, construction infrastructure excavations, wells and tunnels. Naturally, ground shaking and rock falls caused by air shock are frequently encountered. In this context, the data collected from areas with rockfall potential in the field were evaluated with probabilistic- numerical methods and the analyzes were made using RocPro3D, RocPlane, Swedge software. Based on these evaluations, the potential dangers of mass movements that may occur are analyzed and it is aimed to minimize the rockfall potential with rock crusher cartridges. Rock breaker cartridges are suitable for use in areas with more sensitive structures. The difference between the rock-breaking cartridge and dynamite is that it breaks rocks by cracking them instead of exploding. In this study, the performance of rock-breaking cartridges was investigated by analyzing rockfall potentials with three- dimensional models, and the effects of normal blasting and rock-breaking cartridges were evaluated as a whole.
