The role of boss phubbing on trust to manager and employee voice

Nowadays, as the range of services offered by smart phones has expanded, the time of daily phone usage has also increased evenly. The fact that managers are busy with their smart phones while ignoring the employees in the workplace can cause a communication barrier and affect the trust of the employees to their managers and their intra-organizational voice behaviors. The fundamental purpose of this research is to determine the role of boss phubbing in trust to manager and employee voice. For this purpose, data were collected from all employees of a private hospital through a questionnaire. "Boss Phubbing Scale", "Trust to Manager Scale" as one of the subdimensions of the organizational trust scale and "Employee Voice Scale" were used to compose the questionnaire. Factor analysis was performed to test the validity of the scales, and Cronbach's Alpha internal consistency coefficient values were examined for the reliability test. Research hypotheses were tested using correlation analysis and regression analysis. Findings from these analyses help to explain the effects of boss phubbing on trust to manager and employee voice.
