Abstract (EN)
Ethical leaders stand out with their honesty. They practice what they say, and their values, words, and actions are integral. They also follow what they say about others themselves, otherwise their credibility and reputation will be affected badly. Organizations led by ethical leaders also set a good example for other companies, and the reputation of the companies increases and the brand value increases. The characteristics that candidate employees will want to work with, suppliers to collaborate, and competitors to imitate will increase with ethical leadership. In this study, the relationship between ethical leadership behaviors, organizational commitment and performance was examined, and questionnaires were conducted with the participation of 400 people. Relationships between Organizational Commitment Scale, Ethical Leadership Scale and Performance Evaluation Scale were examined with Spearman correlation coefficient. Organizational Commitment Scale, Ethical Leadership Scale and Performance Evaluation Scale reliability were calculated with Cronbach Alpha. SPSS program was used for statistical analysis. A meaningful correlation was found between the total score of the organizational commitment scale and the performance evaluation scale in the same direction. While there is a meaningful relationship in the same direction between affective commitment, which is the sub-dimension of the organizational commitment scale, and the performance evaluation scale, there is no meaningful relationship between the sub-dimensions of the scale which are continuance and normative commitment, and the performance evaluation scale. The increase in the total score of the organizational commitment scale and the emotional commitment score also increases the performance evaluation score. A meaningful relationship was found between the ethical leadership scale and the performance evaluation scale score in the same direction. The results of our research show that while there is a meaningful relationship between ethical leadership behaviors and employee performance for healthcare professionals, there is no meaningful relationship between organizational commitment and ethical leadership.
