Abstract (EN)
This study examines the moderating variables that determine the relationship between expectations placed on employees and the stress experienced by individuals. In this context, 39 articles were obtained from the SCOPUS database through a semi-systematic literature review based on predetermined decision criteria. These articles focused on expectation-related variables in management and organizational research, stress-related outcomes, and mediation effects. To identify the moderating variables highlighted in these studies, citation context analysis was conducted. The findings suggest that variables such as perfectionism, self-efficacy, achievement motivation, leadership style, organizational culture, job security, and national culture can be considered as potential moderators in the relationship between expectations and stress. The theoretical foundations of the study and the identified moderating variables are discussed within the frameworks of the General Adaptation Syndrome and the Job Demands-Resources Model.
