Abstract (EN)

Aircraft operations are carried out in a complex three-dimensional environment and the correct application of aerodynamic principles is crucial for performance, safety and efficiency. Aircraft have to perform different maneuvers to perform their flights. Aircraft have maneuvering capabilities depending on their axis of motion. Depending on the flight phase and heading target, one or more maneuvers must be performed simultaneously. Chaotic aerodynamic phenomena occur most frequently at high angles of attack. In this study, the aerodynamic properties of an airfoil at different angles of attack and different speeds are investigated. For this purpose, an experimental setup was first designed and then computational fluid dynamics analyses were used to investigate the pressure distributions, velocity distributions, vortex profiles and turbulence energy distributions for different scenarios When these results are examined, it is seen that the angle of attack change is much more effective than the velocity change in the intensity of vortex formation and turbulence energies. Although the high angle of attack is considered to be above thirty degrees in the literature, it has been observed that there are significant changes after twenty degrees.
