Abstract (EN)

The aim of this research is to examine the views of social studies teacher candidates about face-to-face and online courses comparatively. The case study, which is one of the qualitative research methods, constituted the research design of this research. In this context, this research, which aimed to compare the perceptions of pre-service teachers about face-to-face and online lessons, was designed as a descriptive case study. The research was carried out with senior pre-service Social Studies pre-service teachers studying at Ağrı İbrahim Çeçen University. 35 senior pre-service teachers participated in the research and purposeful sampling method was used in the selection of participants. A semi-structured interview form prepared by the researcher was used as the data collection instrument. While the first part of the interview form contained some demographic information about the participants, the second part included 6 questions formulated to get answers for the research questions. Data were analyzed with content analysis. As a result of the research, many strengths and weaknesses with respect to face-to-face and online courses were determined. Based on these findings, various recommendations have been developed.
