Abstract (EN)

Montmorillonite (MMT) was selected as a drug carrier in this study and modified with anionic, cationic, nonionic, and silane-based surfactants (cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB), sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS), Triton X-100. TX -100), (3-aminopropyl)triethoxysilane (APTES), (3-aminopropyl)trimethoxysilane (APTMS), (3-mercaptopropyl)trimethoxysilane (MPTMS)). In this way, the drug should be better adsorbed on the surface of the carrier MMT. Ibuprofen (IBU) was selected as the drug and loaded into modified MMT materials. The modified MMT materials were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), Brunauer, Emmett and Teller (BET) analyzes. After the characterizations, the MMT and modified MMT materials were loaded with IBU. After loading process, the adsorption capacities and desorptions of the materials were investigated. The highest adsorption capacity was obtained when loaded with MMT/CTAB (1760,05 mg g-1). Comparing the release profiles of the carriers in PBS and SMS media, it was found that the best and controlled release profiles were 79,75% and 87,77%, respectively, with MMT/CTAB.
