Yüzey gönderim sınıfları grubunun torsiyon elemanlarla üretimi

In this thesis, we study generators of the mapping class group Mod( g) of a closed connected orientable surface g of genus g. The mapping class group Mod( g) is known to be generated by three involutions if g > 8 and by two torsion elements of order 4g + 2. We show that the mapping class group is also generated by three involutions for surfaces with smaller genera and by two torsion elements of smaller orders.
