Abstract (EN)
The aim of the study is to investigate the effect of changes in knee joint isokinetic muscle strength on some kinematic variables of start with the neuromuscular training. 6 people as members of the experiment (age:17.6±1.2, BMI: 16.8±8.03), 6 people as members of the control group (age: 16.2±0.25, BMI: 21.5±2.7) were selected from the participant group. In order to determine isokinetic muscle strengths at different angular velocities (60⁰/s, 120⁰/s, 180⁰/s) and kinematic values of start, pre and post tests were applied to the participants at 6-week intervals. The neuromascular training program was applied to the experimental group in the period between measurements. 2D data analysis techniques were used to calculate the kinematic varuables of the start. The pretest findings of the study showed that there was no significant difference between the experimental and control groups. In the post-test findings, it was found that neuromascular training was effective in improving performance in the variables of block time, reaction time, flight distance and 5m transition time. As a result of the isokinetic dynamometer measurements, when the flexion and extension strength increased in the tests performed at a speed of 120⁰/s, the block time increased; when the difference between flexion/extension strength ratios decreased, reaction time reduced and when the difference between flexor and extensor forces decreased, flight time increased. In the test performed at 60⁰/s speed, it was found that the flight distance increased as the extension force increased. In tests performed at speeds of 60⁰/s, 120⁰/s and 180⁰/s, it was found that when the flexion and extension strength increased, there was a decrease in 5m transition time. The fact that the exercises in the applied training program improved the start performance variables and the isokinetic forces had an effect on the start parameters show that the start performance was positively affected.
