Examination of the Surah Yûsuf in terms of rhetoric in the context of the Kashshāf of al-Zamakhsharī

Throughout this thesis, the literary arts in Surah Yûsuf are examined within the framework of al-Kashshāf, the famous study of Zamakhsharī, who lived in the 11th century (Hijri 5) and is known for his works on the Arabic language and literature. The Qur'an involves a variety of literary elements to effectively convey its message to the reader. The wording of the Qur'an is its miracle. Since the first generation that dealt with the Qur'an was an advanced society in terms of literature, they could immediately notice this aspect of It. However, the next generation, especially the non-Arab and newly converted Muslim societies, were far from understanding its eloquence. Therefore, the primary purpose of this article is to provide a better understanding of the Qur'an by emphasizing its rhetoric.
