Abstract (EN)
The main purpose of this study is to examine the effect of compulsory organizational citizenship behaviors of administrative staff working at Harran University in Şanlıurfa province on organizational identification levels. The secondary purpose of the study is to determine whether the participants' perceptions of compulsory organizational citizenship behavior and organizational identification levels differ significantly in terms of various demographic variables. Within the scope of the research, data were collected from 307 administrative staff members selected via convenience sampling method; the 6-item Organizational Identification Scale and the 5-item Compulsory Organizational Citizenship Scale were employed as data collection tools. The reliability of the obtained data was tested with the Cronbach's Alpha coefficient and the results were found to be highly reliable. According to the findings, the increase in obligation-based organizational citizenship behaviors negatively affects the organizational identification levels of employees. In addition, it was seen that male employees had higher perceptions of compulsory organizational citizenship than female employees. While there was no general difference in terms of age variable, it was observed that the participants between the ages of 29 and 39 had higher perceptions of compulsory organizational citizenship behavior. In terms of marital status, the findings revealed that married employees had higher perceptions. While there was no significant difference in compulsory organizational citizenship behaviors according to the education level variable, a significant difference was found in organizational identification levels.
