Şeyh Abdullah el-Ensari'nin Kur'an ilimleri ve tefsir alanındaki çalışmaları

This research examines the scholarly contributions of Sheikh Abdullah Al-Ansari, one of the distinguished scholars of the State of Qatar. Rather than authoring a comprehensive tafsir work, Sheikh Al-Ansari's exegetical legacy consists of televised and radio programs alongside Friday sermons. Through these platforms, he provided commentary on Surah Al-Baqarah, Surah Al Imran, and various dispersed verses relating to themes such as pilgrimage (hajj), jihad, and fasting. The Sheikh's interpretative framework primarily drew upon the seminal works of classical exegetes: Al-Tabari, Ibn Kathir, Al-Qurtubi, and Ibn Hayyan. The study is structured across three comprehensive chapters. Chapter One examines Sheikh Abdullah Al-Ansari's personal biography, scholarly formation, and reformist endeavors. Chapter Two analyzes the Sheikh's contributions to Quranic sciences and exegesis, exploring his interpretative objectives, exemplary commentary, and methodological preferences. Finally, Chapter Three investigates his exegetical methodology, examining his interpretative approaches, attention to Quranic sciences, the influence of doctrinal and jurisprudential perspectives on his commentary, and his overarching hermeneutical framework. The research yields several significant findings: Sheikh Al-Ansari exercised considerable influence in fostering religious consciousness among the Qatari populace through his accessible homiletical style that resonated with audiences. His practice of contextualizing Quranic verses within contemporary lived experience facilitated meaningful engagement with the text. Furthermore, he played a pivotal role in purifying popular religious belief from the prevalent innovations (bid'ah) and polytheistic practices of his era. The Sheikh's robust doctrinal foundation, combined with his jurisprudential expertise, markedly influenced his exegetical approach. He systematically presented the views of various commentators, exercised scholarly preference among competing interpretations, and issued legal rulings characterized by the principle of facilitation (taysir).
