The influence of 12th September Turkish Coup D?etat on youth

12th September is the blind alley of Turkish Democracy History. Turkey has a deep background shaped as many volumes of a thick book and thus 12 September is the dark chapter of it. The period faced violence, fear, doubt, and both physical and corporal-mental episodes. The coup was the sudden overthrow of the government and it really caused radical changes in everyone?s own life.On 12 th September, the armed forces took administrative control of the state through a five-member National Security Council and appointed a civilian cabinet. After the coup, in 1982, Kenan Evren installed himself as `?President of Republic of Turkey?? on November 7 with a 90% approval of the new constitution that was submitted to a public referendum, replacing the older constitution which had "luxurious" liberties for Turkey according to him. That was also the time for the transition to the civilian rule. On 6th November 1983, the military rule ended but its destructive effects would never be coped with after all.Today still the effects of the 12th September coup have been decisive, blind and are in a dark tunnel. Although the following democratization process did not involve a process of coming to terms with the coup. Still today some people try to clean and clear the the impacts of what they have lived and what they have had passed through. However it is impossible! However this shame will live forever!In this study, I try to analyze what the coup was, how it came step by step and how it still lives today. The thoughts that belong to me argue whether it was right or not, whether the Turkish?s Military decision was all right and what kind of evolution it passed through. What happened to youth over all? This is the study to put the things on the concrete themes and to ask if the `?thoughts?? here are almost free today?
