Abstract (EN)
This purpose of use is benefited from the training of the 12-week training applied to male basketball players. The research was conducted by the Ethics Committee of Karabük University Institute of Health Sciences Non-Interventional Clinical Research dated 27.02.20, with the approval of the ethics committee with the decision number 2020\125.19 male basketball players between the ages of 10-12 were included in the study. The corrected model pre-test model was used in the study. Control group: Only Basic Basketball Training Group. The Experimental Group is: Basic Basketball Training + Strength Training Group. For this purpose, pre-test values were taken for male basketball players aged 10-12 years first before starting the exercise, and final test values, which are the last measurement, were taken 12 weeks later. The data obtained were analyzed by using the Wilcoxon Rank Test which is one of the nonparametric tests in the SPSS 22.0 package program, and the Mann Whitney U Test for Directed analysis. The level of significance was determined as p<0.05. According to the findings of the physical parameters in the experimental group in the hand grip, back and leg strength measurement of pre-post test values were observed statistically significant (p<0.05); no statistical significance was detected only leg strength parameters in the control group (p<0.05). While the physiological parameters of the experimental group determined the statistical significance of HDL and LDL in the blood lipid levels (p<0.05), only the significance of HDL in the physical parameters of the control group was determined(p<0.05). A statistical significance was determined between the experimental and control groups in the fat percentage variable of the participants (p<0.05). There were no changes in other blood values in either group (AST, ALT, GLU, Triglycerides and Total cholesterol) (p>0.05). As a result, it can be said that the strength training program applied to 10-12-year-old boys has a positive effect on hand grip, back and leg strength, as well as on HDL and LDL in physiological parameters. In this regard, we think that they may have positive turns when they are included in training programs
