Evaluation of the Cyprus state Budget Book's dated, June 15, 1608 (Month of Rebi-ul evvel 1, 1017)- February 4, 1609 (Month of Sevval 28, 1017)

The subject of this research is the budget book of Cyprus State covering a period of 7 months 28 days from June 15, 1608 (Month of Rebîü'l-Evvel 1, 1017) to February 4, 1609 (Month of Şevval 28, 1017), which is available in the Ottoman Archives of the Prime Ministry involving the Registers of Circulars from the Finance Office. This 48-page book, coded MAD.d, with Item No. 04399, was prepared under the responsibility of the Governor of Cyprus, Cafer Pasha and Treasurer, Mustafa Efendi. Based on the information obtained from the book, which I study in my Master's Thesis; it is aimed to provide detailed information about the income and expenditures of the island in this period, taxmen, trustees, resources of the country and the economic state, in order to contribute to the economic and financial history of Cyprus.
