Abstract (EN)
This study focuses on the transcription and evaluation of the 'Ayntâb Sharia Court Record (Şer'iyye Sicili) numbered 153, covering the years 1885-1887 (A.H. 1303-1305). The primary objective of the research is to analyze the administrative, social, cultural, and economic structure of the Ottoman Empire during the last quarter of the 19th century, specifically through the case of 'Ayntâb. As a primary source, this court record provides significant data for both local historiography and general Ottoman studies. Within the scope of the study, 194 cases identified in the record have been analyzed. To facilitate a better understanding of these cases, individual tables were created for each entry, including the type, subject, and summary of the lawsuit, as well as the corresponding Hijri and Gregorian dates.
