Abstract (EN)
This study was carried out to determine whether Tabata training had an effect on speed, flexibility, endurance, agility and explosive strength in individuals in training football. The Tabata protocol is one of the High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) patterns that is very short in duration but high in intensity, followed by a very short recovery compared to the execution time. In the study, male football players in the 16-18 age group will be given football training for 8 weeks. The first group, which did normal football training, and the second group, which did Tabata training along with football training, were examined. A total of 16 volunteer male athletes between the ages of 16-18 participated in this study, including the control group (n=8) who trained only in football and the experimental group (n=8) in football training and Tabata training. Sample and control groups were divided into groups with unbiased assignment. Pre-test measurements were made in both groups before starting the training, and post-test measurements were made at the end of 8 weeks. Before and after the training program prepared according to the 8-week Tabata protocol conducted with the sample group, both groups were given a 20 m sprint test to measure the effect of Tabata training on speed, a sit-and-reach test to measure its effect on flexibility, a standing long jump test to measure explosive strength, the yo-yo 1 test was applied to measure its effect on endurance, and the Illionis test was applied to measure its effect on agility. The data obtained in the study are transferred to SPSS 25 in a computer environment and their analysis is carried out. In statistical procedures, the significance level was accepted as 0.05 in determining the differences between the experimental and control intervals. It was observed that the test results, in which some basic motoric features were measured on football players in the 16-18 age group to whom Tabata training was applied, were more positive and significant. Tabata training method can be applied as an alternative training program in training programs as it contributes to positive results in the development of some basic motoric features in football players.
