In this study, we investigated the life of the society at 18th Century, the tradition of isosephy, and the methods of isosephy by setting off from the historical poetries of 18th Century. In the first section, we mentioned the alteration of isosephy from the past to the present day, and the responses of the art of the isosephy at 18th Century. We also established the verses, and the places of the historical poetries within the whole divan by using the chronicles from the divans that we investigated. When we investigated all historical poetries of 18th Century, we found out, the poets have used the art of isosephy to mention the important individual incidents like accedes of sovereigns, designations of grand vizlers and sheikhulislams, the births, the demises and the marriages of the children of the princes, and also the important communal incidents like battles, peaces, and constructions of the important structers. In the second part of the study, we classified all of these chronicles to resolve the socio-cultural structure of the period and we tried to make a global assessment in the final section of the study.Key Words: XVIII. century, Historical poetries, İsosephy, Communal life, Old Turkish Literature.
