Translated works from German literature into Turkish and scholary works in translation studies since 1945

This century, has experienced an unprecented proliferation of researchin the field of Translation Studies. Moreover, the number of translations fromGerman Literature into Turkish has also increased.This study, that consists the translations from German Literature andscholary works in Translation Studies in Turkey since 1945 aims at showing thedevelopments in the field precisely and to facilitate the task of the researchers.Since there is a strong relation between literature and philosophy, this studyalso contains the translations from German Philosophy into Turkish in the sameperiod.In this research, the documentary Center of Higher Education Council,the archives of the big libraries and big publishing houses of Turkey, othersimilar studies and internet are used.Data gained from this resources is collated and edited systematically. Inthe conclusion part, the results are evaluated and precise and statisticalinformation is obtained.
