Abstract (EN)
Student upheavals or youth movements, as it happened in many countries of the world, caused to occur various social, cultural and economic consequences also in Turkey from past to present by accelerating from time to time. Student movements that firstly occured as a result of students' justice and freedom demands about university students' education and training, turned into mass protests and action about broader topics that include Turkey's political, social and economic problems in later process. The movements, in which radical actions such as sometimes abduction, bank robbery, using gun were seen, affected many sections of community directly or indirectly such as rotably education, press, polistics and university, caused social disorder and created of the reasons of military, interventions. Youth movements that seen in recent history of Turkey, reflected on Turkish literature with several dimensions. Especially, the student upheavals that took place between 1950 and 1980 when the uphevals intensified, were examined in various aspects both in these years and in many novels published in the following years. Student or youth movements have appeared from time to time in various events and situations until today. In this respect, initially, it is necessary to reveal them correctly in order to understand past and present events and make healty evaluations. It can be said that handling student uphevals that were undeniably important in historical, political and social aspects and the effects of these events on education in Turkish novels and not having been examined in a comprehensive study before explains the need for this study and the contribution that it will provide to Turkish literature and education. However, the fact that this study only deals with novels written between 1960-1980 and is one of the first studies on this subject puts forward that there is a necessity and opportunity for further research on the subject. Upheavals about social matters or situations are in interactivity with each other, subjective and changeable. In Turkish novels, evaluating way of students' upheavals and authors' perspective varies from person to person and the subject is interpreted in different ways. In this study, it is tried to be presented authors' perspectives on events and their evaluating way of events and determined the relationship among social, political and economic situation which Turkey in by examining the novels published between 1960 and 1980 that deal with student uphevals. However, the internal and external reasons that push young people to the actions, the effect of the developments in the world in the occurance of action, the situation of the univercities and lecturers, the details belong to elements such as press, army and presenting the relationship of these elements between each other in novels have detailedly been tried to be described. In the study, "content analysis" method in accordance with this purpose has been used and the dates obtained have been evaluated with an inductive approach. As a result of the study, it is seen that student uphevals were mentioned in Turkish novels published between 1960 and 1980, authors handled upheavals with their own perspective, many factors such as especially political, social and economic reasons were effective in the emergence of upheavals, upheavals in Turkey was not independent from the developments in the world and significant impacts on Turkey with different aspects.
