Abstract (EN)

Pincer compounds are formed by the reaction of any transition metal with a ligand. Pincer compounds are widely distributed in the literature. Show, Van Koten and Noltes made the first studies on pincer-type compounds in 1970. Pincer compounds have spread in many fields such as electrochemistry, medicine, biochemistry and polymers. In this study, from a new SNS type 2,6-pyridinedicarbonlydichloride and 4-methylthiophenol the synthesis of the Ni(II), Co(II), Cu(II) and Pd(II) complexes accomplished. The resultant ligand and complex thanks to UV-Vis,13C-NMR, 1H NMR, FT-IR, X-ray spectroscopic techniques and elemental analysis, physical properties, and other melting point determination method and its possible structure has been enlightened.
