Abstract (EN)

In recent years, arene ruthenium compounds have been at the forefront in metal-based anticancer studies. While these complexes were used mostly as catalysts, they now play a very important role as bioactive agents. In this study, bioactive benzimidazole arene ruthenium organometallic compounds with the general formula [Ru(η6-p-cymene) (η2-N∩N)Cl]CI were obtained by reacting the substituted 2-(pyridine-2-yl)benzimidazole compound with 4 different alkyl halides, followed by the corresponding prepared by adding [Ru(p-cymene)chloride]2. Organometallic compounds were characterized by standard techniques including IR, UV-VIS, 1H, 13C NMR spectroscopy and ESI-MS spectrometry. The thermal degradation measurement data of the synthesized compounds were examined. These measurements were made with Thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) and Differential thermal analysis (DTA) techniques and Fluorescence Spectrum values were recorded.
