Abstract (EN)

When the impacts of alienation and game on artistic production are considered with the changes after the Industrial Revolution, it is certain that, humanity has dominated the struggle for survival against nature and has created specialities. The creation of these specialities has led to an uncertainty between people and object sand more alienation. Humanity which has sustained the alienation in this uncertainty needed a shelter. And this shelter has been the art. Today, the art space is seen as a playground and the consciousness, the sense of freedom, created by the experience must be accepted within the rules of this game. As its difference from ordinary life, art shows that reality can be altered, controlled and transformed into a game. The fact that artists adopt what they do (the consciousness) with discourses and experiences in their fields of expertise is also formed and shaped within this playground. The aim of the study is to investigate the contribution of the alienation which is accepted as the critical of the modern industrial society and causes the loneliness of the individuals and of the game phenomenon resembling to the art to the 20th century artistic production. It draws attention to how the artists play active roles in their work of arts when the art production is the matter, and which changes this production causes to. The scope of the study, it is analysed the impact of alienation and game on artistic production when this attitude is a conscious activity. Methods of the study, written sources were used during the study and discussed in a chronological order. It has been paid great attention to make sure that this study contains and refers to the work of the philosophers that are mentioned the terms. Because in contrast to the readings and analyses that already exist, these key concepts should be viewed in a new perspective. Keywords: Art, Alienation, Industrial Revolution, Game, Modernism
