Abstract (EN)

The friendship and relations between Turkey and Afghanistan are similar to the relations between the two brothers from the statements between the two states. The friendship between Turkey and Afghanistan has been Islamic narratives from the relationship explanations from the Ottoman state to the Republican period. During the Republican period, these statements turned into brotherhood and friendship. These negotiation consultations officially began between the two countries in Moscow in March 1921. From the earliest times covering this idea, until now, there has been no significant problem between the two countries. It is known that the people of Afghanistan have a special place in the hearts of the Turkish people because they supported the War of Independence in Turkey. In addition, Amanullah Khan was influenced by the modernization of Turkey and tried to make new reforms for the modernization of Afghanistan by taking Mustafa Kemal Atatürk as an example. Afghanistan, which has never fallen from the world's agenda due to the problems it has been experiencing for nearly half a century, has once again come to the world's agenda after the September 11, 2001 attacks. In this context, the fact that the geography of Afghanistan became the main playground of the "New Great Game", which was carried out to establish Eurasian dominance in the global struggle, enabled the relations on the Ankara-Kabul line to be further deepened. After September 11, 2001, the USA intervened in Afghanistan on the grounds of combating terrorism and eliminated the Taliban regime. After the USA entered Afghanistan, almost the whole world mobilized for the restructuring of the Afghan government. The most important among these countries is the Republic of Turkey.
