Abstract (EN)
In this study was aimed to evaluate 2005 social studies curriculum in terms of children's rights. In study; scanning method was used. In this context 4, 5, 6 and 7 grades studies curriculum in terms of children's rights for the evaluation of qualitative data collection methods were used to documents review. In this context, Ministry of National Education 4, 5, 6 and 7 grades social studies curriculum were examined and the rights of children involved in this program's gains are determined. The data associated with these gains which are obtained; frequency (f) and percentages were determined. As a result of the analysis, the following research results were obtained. • Total of 174 to 65 (37,3 %) gains in the social studies curriculum were determined as child rights for. Total of 46 to 16 (34,7%) gains in 5. grades curriculum, total of 43 to 13 (30,2%) gains in 6. grades curriculum, total of 39 to 14 (35,8%) in 7. grades curriculum, determined as child rights education for. • The gains of learning areas in social studies curriculum concerning children's rights are determined that given largest areas in 'individual and society', 'production, distribution and consumption' and 'power, management and society'. • Most of gains of education for children's rights associated with 'Human Rights and The Other Disciplinary Citizenship' are determined. Especially in this disciplinary most of associated with in 5 and 7. grades social studies curriculum have largest areas. • The most CRC principle which can be associated with social studies curriculum gains is determined 29.
