Ağca Ali, Çavuşlar, Dereşeyh, Odabaşi, Kara Ahmedlü, Karaağaç ve Araplar, Kutludiğin (Kutludüğün), Yenişeyh in the province of Ankara in the province of Balâ according to the Temettuat Book 1845 (H. 1261)

Temettu means profit and gain. In the 19th century, the declaration of Temettuat was kept to determine the population status and economical situation of the Ottoman Empire. Also, these Tax Books were recorded with male population. That's why they revealed the military status of men. Names, nicknames, jobs and belongings (land, animal) recorded in these Tax Books. In all Temettuat Tax Books, every village was separately or together recorded. Thanks to these recordings, the villagers' status was revealed. In this study, Ankara province's Bâla district is the main focus of Ottoman Empire's new tax system of Temettuat Tax Books. Among all Tax Books, 8 of them transcripted and written by reorganized. With the help of this, economical and social status was tried to explain. Villages' tax books whose names given below from Balâ district of Ankara province were transcripted and examined. ML.
