Abstract (EN)

Faculties of Fine Arts are higher education institutions that improve art in our country. All kinds of developments experienced in these institutions will reflect in the development of art in our country. To improve the developments in Departments of Painting, researcher should made various researches on these departments. The aim of this research is to determine instructors' and students' opinions about education and training process of departments of painting established in 2005 and after. In this research mixed research methodology which contains both quantitative and qualitative methods had been used. In this context, developed data collection tool had been applied with 22 instructors and 192 students in the sample group. Semi-structured interview form had been applied with 5 head of department. Obtained quantitative data was analyzed by using frequency (f) and percentage (%) by using SPSS software. Obtained qualitative data was analyzed by using descriptive analysis method. Several deficiencies in education and training process and physical conditions of Departments of Painting have been identified by analyzing obtained data.
