Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study is to analyze the listening/watching and reading texts in the 5th grade Turkish textbook of Anıttepe Publishing and the 6th, 7th and 8th grade Turkish textbooks of the Ministry of National Education, which the Board of Education and Discipline recommends to be taught in the 2019-2020 academic year. is to reveal the vocabulary elements by determining the vocabulary. The study is a qualitative research in the descriptive survey model. The texts in the Turkish textbooks, which are the object of study of the study, were examined in terms of vocabulary and vocabulary items. The texts were transferred to word program in computer environment. Words in the texts vocabulary and vocabulary items of Turkish textbooks were analyzed with the AntConc. 3.5.8 program and frequency lists were obtained. As a result of the research, it was determined that while there was an increase in the number of different and total words as the grade level progressed, there was no regular increase in the number of vocabulary items in the Turkish Lesson Curriculum. In line with the results obtained, suggestions have been made that texts with more vocabulary items such as proverbs, dialogue wishes, and idioms can be preferred in the textbooks.
