Abstract (EN)

Neutron incduced reaction cross sections in fission and fusion are important in the design of reactors. These type of reactions may cause structural changes in the material. In order to understand the importance of the problem the reaction cross sections should be measured experimentally and modeled theoretically. In this study, (n,2n) and (n,3n) total reaction cross sections have been calculated at 0-30 MeV neutron incident energy on 209Bi, 232Th and 238U nuclei by using pre-equilibrium models. The model calculations are performed by using TALYS 1.2 and ALICE-ASH nuclear reaction computer codes. These calculation results, were compared with the experimental data in Internatinal Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) data library EXFOR. The calculated cross sections and experimental results from literature were compared and found to be in good agreement.
