Abstract (EN)

In this current study it's aimed to investigate 316L stainless steel which is a widely preffered biomedical alloy in orthopedic applications, on the antibiofilm properties of this metallic material. Thereby, controlled microdeformation areas in various quantities and repetitive patterns will be created on the surface of 316L stainless steel samples with micro-hardness measurement device. After the effect of the applied process on the surface properties of the alloy, are characterized by various methods and the biofilm formation behaviour on each surface will be examined in detail. It is aimed to obtain information about the surface proporties of metallic biomaterials which is used in orthopedic applications and it is also aimed to obtain this acquired information used in new biomedical alloy design with the findings in this research.
