Abstract (EN)
In this thesis study, the use of stainless steels in today's rapidly developing and advancing manufacturing industry and material selection according to these areas of use are mentioned from time to time, and it is intended to be presented to the users as information and a document about in which environments and situations the manufacturing methods of the material should be chosen. Today, stainless steels continue to be widely used in the industry with their mechanical behavior, corrosion resistance and stability in corrosive environments, and their use has started to accelerate day by day. The behavior of these steels in environments also varies depending on the manufacturing methods, and if the correct manufacturing method is not chosen, all their good aspects can turn into bad and the life of the material can decrease, causing undesirable accidents and consequences. The aim of this study is to examine the mechanical behavior and microstructure changes in AISI 316L austenitic stainless steels, which are joined by the TIG welding method preferred for joining materials. With the data obtained at the end of all the tests and analyzes applied in the experimental studies, the advantages and disadvantages of the changes observed in the mechanical behavior and microstructures of the samples in joining the AISI 316L plates with TIG welding performed at 100 and 120 ampere current parameters were evaluated, and after the welding application at the 100 ampere current parameter, their mechanical behavior and microstructure were superior to the welding application performed at the 120 ampere current parameter it can be interpreted that it is. Keywords: Austenitic stainless steels, 316L, TIG welding, Mechanical behavior, Microstructure.
